HOW LONG IS THE WARRANTY VALID?

The warranty for all MEJAAS products is 12 months, unless otherwise stated in the product page. The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase and the warranty is valid from the date of purchase.

 

WHAT IS COVERED UNDER THIS WARRANTY?

This warranty applies to domestic use only, and covers defects in material and workmanship in the structural components only.

Warranty specifically excludes general wear and tear, fading, staining, corrosion and/or staining of any steel or stainless-steel components, corrosion and/or fading of any powder coating, commercial use and/or inappropriate use and damage caused as a result of failure to observe reasonable care, maintenance and assembly instructions for all furniture, accessories and related hardware. Natural hazards, like wind, rain and storm damage are also excluded from warranty.

The defective item’s manufacturer has the ultimate discretion to obtain proof of purchase and any further information to decide on warranty outcomes.

Products will be repaired or replaced, depending on product circumstances and it is solely at the management discretion. If the exact item or colour is not available, the manufacturer will offer the closest replacement item available at the time.

The original warranty period is not extended in the event of a repair, refinish or replacement.

 

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

We apologise if our product did not meet your expectation. We want our customer to be happy with the purchase!

Eligible items can be returned when a return is requested within 7 days of receiving your purchase, unless otherwise stated in the product page. Please note that we do not refund original shipping charges. Besides, the customer will be responsible for the return shipping charges. Items must be sent back in a pristine condition in the original packaging.  If original packaging is unavailable, the customer is responsible for arranging equivalent packaging.

WHAT ITEMS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN?

Most items are eligible for full return and refund. Items marked as CLEARANCE or FINAL SALE, are not eligible for return. Custom size or made-to-order items are not returnable. If your item was purchased on a shipping charges discount, e.g. free shipping, a 10% fee will be deducted from the original price of your item.

 

WHAT IF THE PRODUCT IS FAULTY?

We comply with Australian Consumer Law, being Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, regarding faulty goods.

If a product does not meet the consumer guarantees, the consumer is entitled to a remedy. The type of remedy depends on whether the problem is major or minor.

Faulty goods are items that are not fit for the purpose for which it is commonly used. Where an item is found to be faulty, we will provide replacement part(s) along with the necessary service and support. If a customer receives faulty items and wishes to cancel the order, return shipping charges will be the responsibility of the customer.

Under the Australian Consumer Law, issues not considered a faulty product include:

  • fair wear and tear alone
  • change of mind – for example, the consumer no longer likes the colour of an item of clothing
  • a hidden defect specifically drawn to the consumer’s attention before the purchase – for example, a pair of shoes with a ‘seconds’ label that states that the stitching is faulty
  • a defect that the consumer should have noticed on examination – for example, faded paint on antique or second-hand products that a consumer can inspect
  • a defect due to abnormal use – for example, a television is broken by something hitting the screen.

Faulty goods must be exchanged or returned in pristine condition in original packaging together with proof of purchase within 3 weeks for refund. Return of this nature is different from our 7-day change-of-mind return policy. Faulty goods will not be accepted for return or refund later than 3 weeks after you receive the goods.

 

WHAT IS THE REFUND PAYMENT METHOD?

We will credit the amount excluding shipping charges to your original method of payment. Please allow 14 days for payment processing.
